Talking Looking at a '76 450SL convertible

I found a '76 450sl convertible for 3900. Ad states it only has 132K miles on it (sounds doubtful to me). I was wondering what I should look for when I check it out, and are there any special problems or issues with this model I should be aware of? Head gasket, valve adjustment and maintainance records. What type of coolant, oil, and ATF. If the car was well cared for it will last forever. Otherwise...

In this economy, if you have cash in hand' you are King. I'd shop around, add a thou or two and move up to a 380SL. The all aluminum engine is much more powerfull and way more fuel efficient. Also you will move up to the more modern and more durable ACC. As in any MB V8 you need to pay attention to the chain.
Good luck
