What do you think about this car 1973 450 SLC coupe

http://bloomington.craigslist.org/cto/885278882.html

Does this look like a good find or would it likely be a major headache. The seller talked about making sure the battery was on a charger before I came and looked at it... Apparently the floorboards are nearly rusted out and the paint is in fair condition.

Just looking for a little perspective since I don't have much experience with this line of Mercedes. THanks!

This is in the wrong forum, it actually belongs in the 107 forum.

Either way, I always liked the SLC, and since this is a 1973, it is the only year the 107 had the sleek euro bumpers, and it also has the more advanced D Jetronic injection system (compared to the K Jetronic that came later).

If you have a good amount of money to invest in restoration, this will be a very nice car when you are done.

Thanks. I will move this to the right forum. The guy dropped the price to $1500. I love the looks and style and apparently low miles.

Well, that $1500 will be the least expensive part of the restoration.
