Drives: no mercedes yet, but a bmw e24
new to mercedes

i have the opportunity to acquire a 1972 280se 4.5 with a 107k original miles with a 4.5L dual overhead efi V8. I would be trading my BMW e24 for it. Let me quote the seller " it runs and drives perfect and is in good original condition, the paint still shines and the interior is near perfect except for a few small holes in the headliner also perfect dash!"

What kind of car are these as im only fluent in BMW's. Also he said the only issues are the "heater blower moter needs new brushes and it nees a new rear muffler!"

how much are these cars worth and what should i expect? also does it sound like a good deal? i'll have pictures soon but this seller is very reputable and i've met him a couple times before and he does top notch work so i expect everything he says in the message.

any and all advice would be awesome.
thanks
Brad

I'd die for one of those, but how much work is needed, what has been done to it, has the tranny been rebuilt, has it been in an accident? Those are all the important questions.
