Distibutor springs for a 1986 560 sel

Hello All, Love the site. Lots of great info from some very dedicated folks. I'm replacing my accumulators this weekend or next so hopefully the harsh rear end ride will improve.

My question is upon recent inspection I noticed that one of the springs on the distributor counter weight was missing. Do I need to buy a rebuilt distributor or can I get a new spring set? The idle is also a little 'off'. I cleaned out the idler control valve, but still it seems that the idle is a little 'off'. Any suggestions?

I'd look for a distributor in a wrecking yard, if you can't find a rebuild kit for the distributor.

The two usual suspects that I try to get the little parts through don't have any listings that I see for a rebuild kit, but you might have some luck with a decent dealer parts guy.

Thanks Josh. I will try to look for a rebuild kit first and then if no luck I will try the yard. I appreciate you looking at your sources.
