I have a 89 300SE - driver side inside door frame has metal fatigue failure on two of the three window regulator mounting holes which caused the regulator to break off from the door frame When replacing a bad regulator on the passenger side I noted one hole doing this also but by using a large diameter washer over the original frame hole it allowed me to mount the regulator. I can probably do this on the two holes on the driver side but I'm wondering if I need a new regulator. This one is working but I am unable to removed the existing nuts off regulator without breaking the plastic spacers which are pressed on to the mounting arms of the regulator. Anyone have any ideas or has encountered this before?
Thanks,
Mike
