Drives: 1995 S320

s320 electrical

So i tried installing two little lights under both the driver and passenger feet. I ran wired from the lights through a switch, all the way to the battery in the back. when connecting it to the battery, it would start burning when i would turn the light of and sometimes even with the light on. What is the problem?
