tint

i agree with the other guy, 35% is not worth it.

Where i live its 50% front and 35% back...and u can still see through that completely.

i have 20% tint all over, i think have to be close to see in. I think thats perfect...not too light ..not too dark. Maybe if someone wants to go a bit darker then 15% should be still ok..

but 5% is too much in my opinion......not to mention future headaches from the law.

I'm really curious what car that might be?

TINT update

Hey guys, heres an updated

I Just got back from the tint shop and i used the 3M tint (highest quality supposedly) which has lifetime warranty. I got the lowest legal tint level...

Front windows = 35%
rear windows = 35%
Rear windsheild= 20%

After getting it i can see what yall mean. the 35% is still see through (slight brighter than i expected) but i love it. The quality is superb and it makes the car look amazing. I think 20% is the perfect level b/c i really like the rear windsheild darkness. at night its looks plenty good and during daytime it still looks very classy. Since i have lifetime warranty and the different level tints are same price I can always swap later for free if need be .

I will have pictures tommorrow

listening to Ice Cube has nothing to do with race dude, why put that on him? Did he say, you must be (insert race) if you're listening to Ice Cube, or anything hinting at race? If it were racist, I would have picked it up. Kinda sounds like you're a little sensitive on that topic bud... Anyway, I'd just let it go, this is the internet ya know

ya i agree two tone is pretty old school, I will probably do that when I paint the grille and etc but that won't be for a while.

RIMS update !

hey guys, I just put the AMG rims on the car last night. man what a difference rims can make for the look of the car. the car will need to be dropped though b/c fender well gap is more obvious than before. the ride is firmer than before but a very welcome change. the steering responce though is the biggest change, what a great change it is. the steer in is much more precise and it feels much more stable around turns. the car doesnt sway nearly as much as it used to but its still kinda boat-llike. i think a good set of soft springs and lower spring hats will solve the problem.

Also, I installed flat hood emblem and such a small change made a big difference in the overall look of the nose. its weird not having the pointed star sticking out of the hood, but again a welcome change

I will get pics up by this weekend.

Sounds like you're making good progress on your project. I agree that the AMGs make a ton of difference in how the car looks.

You got pics yet?

OH,

Looks like we gotta register to see the thread. Kind of a pain, maybe I'll do it later....

Also, why host on a bimmer site/

Doesn't look like you've updated your europerformance webpage - can you post there instead?

Hey guys, I will be getting a baseline dyno at the local Apex Dyno here in tucson. I will scan the dyno and make the posts. I am still trying to figure out how to host the pictures but due to MBworld policy you can't attach pics with is annoying. oh well.

Dyno sheets coming very soon!
