Got new turn signals from Vertex and the same error message came up rt turn signal failure. Also the flash rate of the rt side turn sig. in the dash was faster.
Fix:I put the old rt turn sig. back on and started the car and put the hazards on until the failure was gone. Then turned the rt turn sig on to make sure it was still working and flashing correctly. With it still flashing I switched the old light with the new light and the failure never came back.
Hope this helps someone because it pissed me off until I got it to work. BTW benzondubz, Thanks for your pics and install instructions.

Well, I have tried again with mine, done exactly what Chuckace suggested, and still no luck. I have tried one at a time, both together etc.

When the hazards are on they work perfectly!

Any more suggestions or should I give up.

Do the current MB W220 mirror flashers fit the older (pre 2003) mirror casing?

A little bit of showing of my car...

I just thought i'd sneak in a couple of pics of my car, with my "summer rims" (20" Lorinser RS1 "look") on it, instead of my 17" winter AMG rims...

Its lowered with a Carlsson C-Tronic box, im not sure how much tho...

Enjoy

Rubber Seals

Can anyone tell me where I can get those 2 rubber seals for my mirrors? Both sides need replacing. My mb tech down here dont know what he's talking about since he told me to I'll have to buy a new mirror housing to get the seal. Mmmmhhhhhhhh. That's not true. I think he just wants some christmas money.

stuff like that.. you are best off visiting MB dealer. they will show you the picture of the part in the computer. I do think rubber seals would be sold separately because you have to paint the mirror housing.

Not to whore on the thread...

But I have a question about the heated mirrors...

My driver side's mirror didn't heat up like its suppose to.. The mirror is cold, but my passenger mirror works normally (its warm)

What kind of price range am i looking at to make the mirror heated again?

wow, what a difference! I just got done doin mine. I got the ones from vertex racing on ebay. It was weird they had the exact same auctions..1 for $57 and another for $80+ . i bought the cheaper and no probs. for a second i thought i broke my side mirror cuz it wasnt sitting completely back to norm...but then i hit the folding mirror button and it tightened it rite up!

1. Push mirror forward as seen in pict.
2. Stick thin long flathead screw driver underneath mirror(torwards front) and pry clip up so Mirror Cover housing slides off.(be careful)
3.Take mirror inside house or work area and clean up before installing new strip
4. The led strip has 2 screws that need to come out than pull out old LED strip from mirror cover...New strip will pop in
5.Once new strip is screwed in cover take back to car to plug in and mount
6.The Led strip will plug in the 2 center inputs of the 4 prong female connector located on the back of housing on car.

Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks
What makes you think they are LED. They are globes in all other cars.
