It's probably your alarm siren, which is supposed to go off when your battery output drops, in case someone is trying to jack the car. It has its own battery, which is probably almost dead. That would be coincidental to your main battery being dead, which was predictable based on your cluster not sleeping. What did you think would happen?

When you get your cluster or other electrical problem fixed, you might want to consider having them look at the siren.

thanks that makes sense.
The problem started when my dash lights would not turn off. then i got a really quick message on the dash cluster that goes away after 5 seconds "display defictive" the gauges work fine however the dash light will not shut off i tried everything. well the battery ended up draining as it stayed on over night.

when i got home today there was a loud clicking but the battery was dead so i jumped it the car and the noise went away, but when i unhooked the battery it came back but not as loud.

yeah it was the car alarm horn, when the battery is very low or dead it makes this noise, it will go away once the battery is charged or replaced.
