The largest wheel recommended is 20", if you look at my sign thats what i have on my S55. I am going to change to a 19", it gives you both solid but yet, not a stiff ride.

**make sure they are hub centric or get the correct centering rings if you go aftermarket**

if 20"
front 20 X 8" to 8.5"
Rear 20 X 9.5" to 10"

If 19"
front 19 X 8" to 8.5"
rear 19 X 9.5" to 10"

Tires:

19" tires seems to be more expensive than 20" tires (Odd number...maybe) the price will vary between all season and summer tire.

hope this helps

I posted this question on the nav forum, but I'll do it again here. Will 18" or 19" wheels and skinnier tires make the ride harsh on my S430? Which tires do you recommend? Adisto has a good deal on replicas for $123 with lugs and hub centers. Are they any good? Thanks.

i have 20s on my car, with 245 on the front and 285/30 in the back, and its been lowered.
the ride compared to stock is about the same, but some larger holes and things like that on the road do tell you that you have some skinny tires on there.

Stock is 18" so 19" will not feel so bad 20" gives you a stiffer ride but not bad. If you are buying reps make sure they are hub centric or they come with the correct rings. If not vibration will occur.
As for the quality of your reps send me the link to the site.
