Ericktu,

Are these pics of your ride after the RB teck lowering kit install?
[I just ordered the kit from TMushy].

21 inch flowers

I guess those 21's are a lot like flowers - I bring them with me the first time I meet a chick to make a good impression...

There are barely any differences, the only one I can note is the command system is updated.

My father bought the car a year old with 13,000 miles on it and only after he bought it home and inspected it fully did he find out it had a respray, he has spent 30 years in the final finish business, so he knows what to look for. Anyway the whole right hand side of the car had been resprayed.

My father rang up Mercedes and asked them why it had been resprayed and The reason for this was because the car was previously used for promotional events and in particular, it was used to chaffeur Robbie Williams at his Knebworth concert. The fans brushed along the side and so it needed a respray. There were a few spraying errors which my dad spotted and notified Mercedes Direct, who we bought it from.

All it really needed was a flatten polish and my dad could do that himself anyway but he wanted to see what he could get out of Mercedes. He took it to the Mercedes bodyshop where it was done and they could spot the error aswell, to the untrained eye you wouldn't be able to see it.

Anyway Mercedes said they were going to locate any other S55's that matched ours and they would swap it, but being the rare car it is, they couldn't find any. So they said they will order a brand new one and then give it to the Managing Director of Mercedes for 4 months and THEN pass it onto us. They have just rang and said it will take about 9 months to have it made but what they are going to do is go round the whole of Europe for a brand new unregistered S55 with exact same spec as ours and then offer that to us.

Bit of a long story but it tells you what Mercedes are prepared to do to keep a customer happy.

Yeah, same in Cali. Wish we could be treated that well. Or is it b/c he has the 55?

Lots of nice rides with the body kits. You can see mine from a 2001 catalog . Bone stock. Would it be cheesy to put on those screw-on tips from the dealer?
