Its alive! Timing adjuster for Supercharger
Finaly got the special unit that allows me to program the MAF for Fuel and to program the timing retard under boost!!! It started on the first turn.
Now we are getting some place.

congrats Greg! How much did it cost and are you using the voltage clamp in tadem? Is it easy to adjust or do you have to be on a dyno? Also did you find info on the fuel pump?
Thank you and great work.

Sorry I don't have any night pics but there is a guy under the name Zam2000 that has helped many of us with our lights. He is a great guy.

Timing ADJUSTER... COOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.....
WE FOR SURE need this.
....I checked the Splitesec site.,! it looks like the PSC001.... hum.......
........ how exactly it modify the signal to retard timing
btw.......I am suddenly getting engine cut off at 7psi and 5k rpm again.. I suspect my FMU went again!..... suck...

fuel cut off???
From talking to guys, all the supercharger units on the market peg the Mass Air Flow(MAF) at around 5000RPM. That means the ECU needs somthing to tell it 'more gass please' with added boost. You get this from the FMU, which increases the fuel pressure, then in turn pushes more gas through the injector with each injector pulse.
So, fuel cut out make we worry. It could be that the knock sensors saying things are bad, but its hard to say.
Can you tell us what you have on the car these days?
- ECU chip?
-FMU to up the fuel pressure?
-bigger fuel pump to help off-set the loss in fuel pressure with FMU?
-a MAF conditioner to help fine tune the A/F. A FMU does a rough adjustment
I was just thinking, if you do not have a MAF sensor conditioner your MAF is plenty pegged at 4.98Volts. These Mercedes ECUs may be smart enough to look at the MAF being pegged for long periods of time at lower RPM then saying somthing is wrong.
I put the split second MAF conditioner I have up on ebay
Did you ever find the bigger fuel pump?

12:1 FMU with spring loaded static pressure for low boost.
PSC001
Voltage clamp at 4.95
So i am pretty sure... its not the MAF that is pegged..
I think its either my FMU plate is too thin and bended so its not doing what it suppose to do (last time when I rebuild it... the whole plate was bended...)
i was hoping to get some kind of ECU tuning., but after talking to a lot of people... i can't find any of them would work out corrcetly

Fmu
I am using a vortech knock-off. I got a new lid and spring to help get better response. A must, but only $25 from vortech.

timmy,
trust me, your AMF is pegged. Having a clamp is OK, but not reallt needed. What happen is that the maf hits the top and the ecu fuel requirement curve is increasing. I see a bump at 5000 as the maf pegs, and it requires me to up the fuel. since I have a lot a fuel pressure, the specail MAF tuning unit is set lower than stock.
If this makes sense it allow you to tune.
