Top Gear names new BMW 3 series the Ugliest Car of the Year
Top Gear's Ugliest car of the year Award
This category was very simple - a car should be a thing of beauty. All of the companies here forgot that, and built a car that would turn the pope to drink. Nominees were: the Ssangyong Kyron, the Ssangyong Rodius and the Ssangyong Musso. The winner, this year, in a surprise decision from the judges, was the BMW 3 series - the world's most tedious-looking vehicle.

2006 MB C230, Black on Black
Nothing to maintain, but your ego!
They are trying so very hard to lure people in with No maintaining the car for the 4/50K warranty. That is one of the only reasons people would buy it, it is a fricken white elephant, butt ugly. Period.

The term 'tedious' does fit the styling of the car. Despite all the talk about this being the 'tame' one of the BMW's designs, I think its clearly the worst. Even worse than the kia-esque 5 series. Dialing back on the new thinking has resulted in a look that is indeed, tedious.
Top Gear nailed this one perfectly.

And BMW only made the E46 good looking when they put a new bodykit on the 330i sport and then came out with the Mtech kit for the ZHP (performance package for those don't speak Bimmer). Other wise I'd still be calling a non modded e46 sedan ugly.

IMHO japanese cars NEVER set accents. its the european car manufacturers that have to set accents to stay in the competition with the others. they spend so much money in discovering and improving new technologies and as soon as they got it figured out pretty good the japanese add it. best example is the night vision in the S-class. wont take long and they have it too with a better PR because it never really was in a alpha or beta testing stage.

The IS350 looks like a 4-door Scion tC, nice though. Those are actually the 2 nicest Lexus' out, all the others have out-dated styling in my opinion.
ALL Pontiac's are UGLY and are pieces of crap.
The BMW 3 series is not that bad. The 5 however is a different story, ugh.
In the end, Everyone has their own opinion of what nice is or we'd all be driving red Yugos.
