Black grill - need a second opinion guys
I just finished painting my second grill. I thought it looked mean with the black grill and flat hood badge, but members of my family thought it looked like crap. I didn't photoshop the images, I just took a pic with the stock setup and then another with the black grill and flat badge. Give me your opinion.

Whatever finish the car is would probably suit the grill better. Is the black color of the car a metallic color? I would think it is a gloss finish, so I would try to match the sheen or otherwords shine of grill to the body of the car. Once you match the two I think it will look much better. Kepp in mind that somethings look better in person than in a picture or on a computer. Then I think it would look like Darth Vader

black is better. gives it a more distinctive look. so far everyone loves my black grill and only 2 people that i know of think otherwise. and the flat hood emblem is a definite.

I think it would look better if you matched the sheen of the car as I mentioned before. Also I would add some driving lights in the openings of the front bumper. I think the lights would help. I don't think it would look right with the star and black grill. I think the flat hood badge and black grill work together.

black grill looks good newton. chrome one looks better. why is it that a blacked out grill always looks awesome on a w208 whether it has a matte or shiny finish? it's hit-or-miss with the w220.

I like the black in theory.... But its hard to tell from the picture whether the paint matches... Looks like it needs more of a gloss too it to look right?
Im not crazy about the flat badge.... But I guess Im alone on that.
Has anybody tried the above with WHITE?
