Speedworld CLASH
Today an E63 will attempt to shock the Lamborghini community with a 1/4 mile victory over an allan lambo piloted G Spyder.
Apparantly yesterday the "Benz Idiot" as we are referred to on the Lambo site, took down the G from a roll by a few cars. The incident was reported on The Lambo site, yet the Spyder driver claims "we were not racing", oh ok!
Today the two cars meet @ Speedworld.........

You have to be a member to read it...
How did the 63 make out?
I got into this argument with people on here awhile back...lambos are not as fast as their owners think they are...they will get walked by a tt600 or a 65.

The two cars will be lining up on a 1/4 mile drag strip in the next couple of hours. There will also be the fastest SL 65 there and some other exotics. I just hope the N/A 63 beats the Spyder as that will surely raise some feathers out there in Suprise Az

well seems the 63 walked the G spyder from a roll by a few cars..The owner claimed they were not racing and indicated had they been racing the Spyder would have beaten the 63 by 1/4-1/2 car.

As to the G spyders, they're comparatively slow. 0-60 is 4.4'ish and on the 1/4 mile the whole gallardo lineup is slower than a lot of healthy E55's.

If you look at the times, minus the guy who has added twin turbos among other mods, Gallardos they are mostly in the 12's.
Unfortunately though, so are E63's. The real downside is that any idiot can launch a gallardo...it has AWD. The 63 has a decent shot, but it's guna be close.
It would be a much better if the challenger were an E55 or a V12tt.

I hope the 63 wins. The couple of lambo drivers I've met are really arrogant about their cars.

Bluemax is at the track , DA is nice, and the Spyder hopefully SHOWS UP.
Funny they have been talking bout how "slow" the 63's are for many months and also critical of the 65 and 600's . They quip that an SL 65 would be slaughtered by a Murcielago....etc.. etc..

Ok this is unreal, stupid as hell bs...
The tech booth found a "problem" with the 63, a small nail embedded in the front tire... This guy has been going to this track for many years and yet has suddenly failed "tech".. Bet ya the Lamborghini guys paid the tech man to stop this race from happening due to the roll on result from llast nigh? Man this just is ridiculous, that benz is likely the safest car making a pass today. The front tires do absolutely nothing but roll ... WTF!!!?????
sad sad sad
Ok the nail was not removable and he drove around to 3 different stations for repair..Nobody could patch it today so, well the conspiracy is unlikely and hopefully now the Gallardo driver has more practice it will actually be a good race...
I ran 12.40 on a hotter day at this track, reports are the G was running 12.80's, and about 5-7 mph less trap speed. Hopefully they will post some vids, and we will have another chance to show what our cars can do vs the G..
sorry to say this race did not happen today and apologies to the Lambo guys for suggesting a conspiracy but past actions have paved the thoughts into my mind.

An SL65 has what...106 more stock hp, not to mention 2x the torque and no AWD to slow things down once you get over 30mph.
I bet a SL 600 would keep up nicely, despite it's weight disadvantage, let alone a 65.
Those guys really need a dose of reality...

I'm suprised he hasn't chimed in here yet - give him some time and I'm sure well be graced with his vitriol.

Ok they made vids and supposedly the Gallardo went 12.32 @113.XX with numerous passes from 12.42-13.1.. They claim to have tape but my witness at the track saw a 12.87@108 mph..
Either way even my phat a*** CLS 63 ran more consistant times and higher trap speeds. All 4 of my runs were 12.40's with the highest being a 12.45. My trap was 113.845-114.232 ..Looks like similar condition , should be a very close race indeed.
There was an E55 there hopefully he will chime in as well as an SL 65 , no word from either car if they ran the Gallardo HU..

The one and only time I ran at SW,they never even opened my hood or looked at my helmet.......but now they're checking tires for nails? LOL
Do they clean the windows and check the oil now too? Might not be too bad..

Whats more amazing as even if he did run a 12.32 @ 113.XX its about what an E63 would run so I dont get how they can stick to this false sense that because a car has 2 doors it is automatically way speedier than a 4 door luxury sedan, whatever. Seems like this will be a close race when and if it ever happens. Now Mr. Lambo is claiming the SLR is not a Mercedes.. just has a Mercedes emblem but somehow has none of the same parts we have in our cars. LOL< LOL oh the joy.
How you guys doing otherwise?
Ok its official that Spyder G ran a 12.32 @113.27 dayum beat me , oh the horror. But my car outraps his and I still think it is a very close race with a 63

The lambo does have awd but the problem with that is that their clutches can't take too many hard launches. $10k a pop or something like that

I think it would have been a good race. I didn't post my time from last saturday night because i lost the slip. I went 12.41 @115 Mph. I was out there testing my Vipers new motor and ran the 63 one time.
I was hoping today to bested my personal record with the 63 with a slip.
But tech saw a screw in my front tire and my day was done. An the kicker is the lambo driver pointed it out to me yesterday that there was a screw in that effing tire. Just got to busy with the xmas rush. The SECC will have a other drag day soon. They seem to have one almost every month So i will be there Screw free.
