Question for SL firearm owners

Hello..I know its a weird question but...I came across a nice 04 SL600 that Im going to look at this week...

I often go to the shooting range

I know that the SL has a small trunk but was wondering if anyone knows if it can fit a standard rifle or shotgun?

I have a Benelli M1 Super 90 combat shotgun, it measures 41 inches from barrel to butt. It fits w/ about 8 inches of room to spare.

Awesome! thanks for the info...
That is definitely assuming that the top cannot be put down right?

No firearms here but I can fit an adult size hockey equipment bag (36" x 18" x 18") in the trunk with the top down. I don't think you'll have any issues fitting your shooting gear.

My buddy and I went to the range, we put his AK in
the case in my trunk, roof down, no problem. I keep
my .45 Kimber 1911 in the door console, or the center
console when going to a place I can't carry, and it
works great.

Ha, you would be surprised on how many well armed people there are in America. Here in Arizona we can carry concealed weapons. Providing you pass the 8 hour course.

I worry about a Pizza and your putting a dead bird in the car. Too funny.

Its suprising how much you can get in an SL tunk even with the top down.
Get the SL Luggage thing that fits in the back behind the seats and get a little more for those weekend trips.

Most places in AZ you can carry non-concealed as well. I love the Wild West, but all the touchy- feelie Californians that are moving in are trying to make a 'kinder and gentler' AZ. Humbug!

Hey, at least you don't have to live out here... When driving to the range, I must keep my firearm and ammunition in seperate containers, firearm container locked, no magazines loaded anywhere.

Chicago is one of the worst places for gun laws and restrictions. They recently had a bunch of kids killed by bangers and the mayors reaction was to say they needed even stronger gun laws. bunch of stupid liberal pigs that think criminals must care about their stupid laws. laws like chicagos just take guns out of law abiding citizens hands not the bad guys. but these democrats don't get it. That is why I can never vote for a democrat.

Yeah thats stupid, whenever someone does something stupid, liberal pigs wanna take guns aways from lawful gun owners. As if criminals really care...

I'd be cautious about carrying an "AK-47" or most likely a WASR-10, the stigma attached to that gun is not one you would want to have attached to you when a cop responds to a shooting that your were justified in.

Just trade in the "ak" for a "AR-15" variant.

I carry a Class III SBR Bushmaster M4 in my car. works great.
