Weird noise...not quite a rattle

There's a weird noise in the interior that's coming from behind the passenger cabin area...sounds like it's coming from behind the rear panel. It's not quite a rattle. Sounds like some electronics or something making an extremely rapid light ticking/tapping noise. It's always there while I'm driving or even just stopped and idle.

Has anyone else been hearing the same thing?

Yeah I get that sometimes in mine too, I was told it is from the hard top and its the rear strut apparantly and it just needs to be slicked up a bit. Hope that helps.

You mean rear strut as in the suspension?

The rear strut for the hardtop, right behind the passanger seat headrest. The Black arm thing.

rattles and noises

I have an 07 SL550 that I just got, and I have two issues that I brought it into the dealer and so far no luck.

1. rattle noise at the driver door pillar
2. ticking/clicking noise when turning at slow speed either backing up or forward.

anybody know anything about this?

I also have 2007 and had a rattle in the front where the top meets the windshield frame. Dealer put some vaseline like lube and the rattle is gone. Now it rattles behind my head when top is up. Gonna check the previous posters idea.
