What Radar? Valentine V1, Bell Sti Driver or Escort 9500?

I am thinking of purchasing a radar but can hardly understand all the basic terms. what are those k1 k2 k3 radars and pop systems. There are tons of speed cameras around baltimore, so i assume escort has the database of all the cameras nationwide and updates them as well. But since i drive a lot of time in dc and va areas, it seems like sti driver is good against police who has a radar radar detector. Thus, sti driver is a better option. based on my situation, would you guys suggest buying sti driver since it has all the functionalities: database, good radar overall + anti-radar detecting system?

V1 is the best choice for the money.

V1 is the best, that's what i have hardwired into my car. but if you're driving in the dc, va area a lot, then the sti is the best choice since it cant be picked up by the radar detector detectors the leo's use.

you should seriously consider a laser jammer since i know they use laser guns in your area and they render any radar/laser detector practically useless.

arent they illegal and cant they put you in jail for that?

Active RADAR jammers are illegal in all 50 states. laser jammers are only illegal in about 6 states. im not sure which ones but you can google it.

laser jammers actually work. i have the blinder jammers but the new best thing on the market is the laser interceptors which i plan to get. you have probably noticed that more Leo's are using laser guns which have a greater range and can pick you out from a bunch of cars. if used properly jammers will save your ass enough times to become a spokesperson, like me. lol.

you should check the testing of G.O.L. guys of lidar. pretty good info.

I love my V1, I had it hardwired into my mustang. I want to hardwire it into the SL though, but im having a hardtime finding out how to remove the interior panels.

Laser is controlled by the FDA and it is only illegal to jam laser in nine states so far.

Radar is controlled by the FCC and it is illegal on a federal level to jam radar in the entire U.S. On top of the federal law, ten states have laws against jamming radar.

just pop off the left side panel on your instrument cluster and you will find power wires that turn on with the ignition. run your wires to the V1 thru the A pillar and then under your headliner. i put my concealed display in front of my gas gauge. you will have to pop out your dashboard cover to install it. i purchased a slimmer version of the concealed display with different color leds for the warning lights from a guy on the same website I linked above.

I also travel a lot in europe and I know places where I go have no rules regarding the radars or lasers at all.

but do european cops use the same type of laser and radar devices?

I mean will the US products work there?

How hard is it to install the laser jammer if I will bring it outside of the country?

I have tried lots of different 'protection', and the V1 works the best for me.

With the advent of all the speed cameras and red light cameras, I am also using a Cheetah 100 speed camera detector and have complete protection. The Cheetah has worked so good, I decided to start carrying it!
