I apologize in advance if I am being dense, but am I reading this right? MY03 cars, though COMAND is CD, not DVD based, can be unlocked to utilize a TV function. Once unlocked and configured, the COMAND system can be used to play video (in certain formats; avi?) contained on CD?

If this is the case, what other functionality can be leveraged using the unlocked TV function?

I assume the command module plays avi files. I also heard that only non US 2003 SL500 can have the TV interlock changed. I might be wrong though.
