2007 SL550 Questions

I am selling a 2007 Corvette convertible and getting a 2007 SL550, a few questions I have couldn't be found on the search function, is the pano roof more prone to creaking than the regular roof and does it allow for more road noise, can the top be opened and closed at low speeds, also does the SL55 cost alot more as far as regular maintenance, I will be getting an extended warranty. I drove the 2007 a week ago and was blown away by the tightness and build quality, not so impressed with the stereo nav however. I'm going today to drive the 335i convertible, I'm sure I will be impressed except I don't think its that good looking a car. Any help is appreciated, thanks. I also had an 07 vetter before my sl. do yourself a favor, get an 55. if you haev to igo back a year or 2, you can still findone under warranty. the performance difference between the vette and sl550 is too much. The 55 is borderline to slow for me. the 550 is a pig in comparison to the vette.

I've researched how much the 2007 SL550 is going to cost in routine maintenance, but how much more will the SL55 cost, it kinda scares me. I realize the 550 will be a drop in speed and I am concerned about this, thanks for the help.

I have an 07 550 with a pano roof and 30k miles: no leaks or creaks. The top can't be operated while moving foward, but will operate will the car is in reverse.

I dumped a 2007 Corvette Convertible for a 2005 SL500 and I would agree to get the 55 AMG. I was afraid of repairs, etc but after owning a W220 S500 and a R230 SL500 it really is not bad at all provided you have a good independent mechanic. I love my SL500 and am still more than happy with the trade but if i had to do it again I would go with the SL55

The sl55 does scare because of costs for routine maintenance.
