2009 SL-To Buy or Lease?

Considering picking up a 2009 SL550. The discounting of the car is crazy.
Several questions. Buy or lease. I'm concerned that as there is such steep discounting and incentive to the dealer from MB to move the 09's that a model change may be imminent. Wouldnt want to be stuck in a lease with new model on the road.
For the money, does the car still have the wow factor and exclusivity or is it just another SL after 6 years on the road? Although discounting is great. low residuals on the model still make leasing prices fairly steep. Is it worth it??

You are going to face the same situation if you buy. You will get clobbered with depreciation if you buy it. The low residuals are an indication that MB also recognizes the tanking on prices on the car. A new model introduction will make the prices fall down an elevator shaft. Look at the 2009 E classes that are still available some dealers who are selling new 2009's fpr $ 35,000. The SL is not so exclusive that it will avoid the same type of fall.

Short term lease.
