To be honest with you, just listening to the owner (Chris) of the tuning house (C2Design) that did my headlights...it sounds like a bear to do. He stated that you have to be very patient and meticulous in your movements with regard to taking them apart. The rebuild was easier to do and sealing them up was not a problem with proper use of sealing compound.

They have done my E55 headlights and I have had zero problems since early last year. The SL65 headlights look great and the fit is solid.

Chris (C2Design) does them for several MB's and BMW's and those folks ship him their headlights and he send them back...so that might be an option for you....If you are interested, I can PM you his number.

Sold my old 20" Chrome wheels for New Matte Black 20's.

Also put on New Nitto INVO Tires....way better than my old Continental tires.
And it's for sale too. $45,000 includes the Brand New 20" wheels and Nitto INVO tires...plus you get the 18" AMG Chrome Star Wheels with Pirelli tires. Los Angeles Area.

NEED HELP

Although I have been able to post pictures of my SL55 with the 030 option in the gallery section, I have been unsuccessful in attempting to post the pictures on this thread. How do I post pictures so that they show open on the thread - not as attachments? The pictures that work in the Photo Gallery will not post here.

Thanks for any help.

BTW, I have looked all over the forum for guidance with no luck.

Go to picture hosting site...I use photobucket.com. Upload pics on that site, then copy and paste the url link of the image directly to your thread reply. The pics shows up on the thread as a large pic and not an attachment which you have to click on to see a larger version.

Here's my 2005 SL55 recently purchased with just 420 miles (odo now reads ~1100). Added 20" O.Z. Ultraleggera HLT wheels and a SL63 trunk spoiler.

Thanks...it's

an 06 SL55 with P30 in Mars Red. Best I can tell, one of about 50-60 06's with P30. Very, very few in mars. I love this car. I just wish the bank would let me keep it.....
