The Chrysler factory warranty just paid for itself

The ignition switch went out in my 03 sl55 after only driving it 1500 miles. I dropped it off at the dealer on Saturday and I picked it up today, and the Chrysler factory warranty covered the whole thing ($2000) minus my $200 deductible. This warranty really is as advertised . To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

They sell the warranty specifically for out of warranty cars. Mine is an 03 sl55 . I have 5 year/70K warranty. So I am covered until 2014 or 105Kmiles.

You can call Michael Case he's got a lot of different plans 888-324-3464

So there is no real reason to choose a Chrysler plan as they cover "all brands"? I was told today that since Mercedes has a different extended warranty plan (supposedly through Mercedes) if the car is in warranty, this Chrysler plan is just another option of all those that are available out there?

Does anyone know anything about "EasyCare" plan (www.easycare.com)? I just was quoted $3377 including the inspection fee for a $100 deductible for a 5 year 75,000 mile warranty. Is this a good deal? This is for a 2005 SL500 with 19,000 miles and out of "regular" warranty.

CSC is a good buy. Paid for itself on my sl500 with ABC issues, valve blocks etc...anticipating something to come up on the sl55, it's only inevitable with these cars...

Easy care is easy crap

DO NOT buy this warranty if you have a 230 it does not cover ANY major components for the top , ABC, or Electronic controls. Michael Case with the ziegler group may take a while to get back in touch but his plans seem to be the best and I have already used mine with a top issue cover the repair that would have been $1300 for just $100 . Heres a number for them 800-521-9922 830-530 est.

Good Luck
