Lots of rumors to that effect (e.g. http://www.motorauthority.com/blog/1...out-v12-engine) but nothing official from MB that I've read.

I think the discontinuation speculated is to happen with the next generation SL. You should see the current V12s make it until the new SL launches as a 2013 model.
