2 Black On Black SL 65 AMG Black Series (Dealer Desperate)

Heads Up To All In The Market For The New Black Series!

I know 2 dealers here in my area getting desperate to sell these SL65 Black Series vehicles. I have great relations with the dealers and thought I would help somone out in the market for one. You can send me a private message here if you need any info on these cars or the info on the direct contacts to the dealers.

Bonne Chance!

How much "over" are they asking?

between 30-60K but with the proper negotiations you could get it at List or close to List price.

If anyone is interested in buying one, I can help you establish a good relationship with the managers who can create that dream deal for you as they have in the past for me.

Thanks

I still don't understand why anyone would buy one of these over sticker.

Pick up the phone, they are around at MSRP right now.

I talked to them today and they are willing to offer it at sticker ($299,999). So all you guys out there who want one let me know and I'm sure they will go below sticker. They are getting very desperate to sell these.

Thanks!

Merc, at the risk of seeming a jerk, they aren't anywhere near "desperate" ... yet.

If they sold it today for 10 to 15% below sticker out the door, that would qualify as desperate. At least imo.
I hope they find buyers quickly, it's a shame to hurt the whole business over 2 mistakes.

No trust me if they ar asking sticker they will go lower because those cars are just sitting there along with a white 09 SLR Convirtible & an 09 722S which are also going for 100 to 120 off MSRP.

They are hurting! trust me on that lol

I am actually thinking of picking up the 722 but wanna ride it out a lil. They already offered 0 down 110K off MSRP so I'm just playing the waiting game lol

Do you work for the dealer? So anxious to announce their despair-- repeatedly... What's it to you?

I was just at House of Imports in Buena Park a week or so ago, and they were trying to sell their SL65 BS for 60 over sticker saying they just refused an offer at MSRP.

And your going to go from a C63 to a 722 but want to "ride it out" first?

Anyways...

Listen all I was doing is informing you all on the prices. I was just trying to be curtius by informing others who might be in the market for the SLs. Now I could care less if they sell them or not. It really doesn't matter to me!

The SLR 722s is a wonderful exclusive vehicle and therefore I might buy one. 100K off is not bad for a brand new limited editon SLR. Rather than you being jelous or skeptical about it, be happy for another mbworld member.

P.S. It is moronic for a dealer in this market to refuse an offer at MSRP for the SL Black Series when the dealer has to keep paying to keep the car on the lot. IMO he was just trying to see how interested you were. Good Luck with that!

Hard to believe a market exists for a car to be sold over sticker.......any car. They already make a killing at sticker why not just take that and move the car? Greed is why everything is the way it is now.

I've still have yet to see the point of the SL65 BS. First off, you take away from the greatest function of an SL, the retractable roof, and replace it with a fixed roof. You slap huge wheels on there and flared wheel arches. Retune the engine a bit to squeeze a bit more HP out of the 6.0L. Add a little carbon fiber and you have a 300K+ dollar car that really isn't all that different than the normal SL65, I don't know, it just doesn't seem like a wise buy to me. Spend your money on a 110K ZR1 Vette and put another 60K into it and you'll have one of the meanest machines on the road. Just my two centers.

Cheers all

Exactly what I was thinking. Until I saw the SL65 BS in person... clearly, you should do the same. And if you have already, go do a double-take. I'd take the Black Series over a SLR. But that's just me...

Honestly, if you can afford an SLR you don't need to "wait it out".

Why purchase something for 520,000 when you can for 420,000 or even 400,000 or less? I am not cheap but I buy when the time is right.

So you're just slumming it in the C63? I don't understand the leap from a $65K car to $500k car.

Duh, he has to wait for the half-million dollar car to depreciate another 2K before he purchases it-- it's not being cheap, he's just saving every penny.

Dude no offense, but if your trying to nickel and dime your way to a SLR (722 no less), maybe it's just not for you.

No Offense Akademiks but let me handle my car buying the way I want to. What is with you guys and the bashing? I can't just plop 520K in cash for a car if that is what you are thinking and even if I could I don't believe in doing that.

No Offense to you all but back off a bit!

merc-skycap,

good luck w/ the purchase, and hopefully you'll get it a low price. It's not absurd all at to wait it out and get the best price for a 776. I personally think it's perfectly fine to save 100K on car if you can do it. Regardless of what someone's personal wealth is, to save 100K or more is substantial.
