advice needed from evryone!
im posting here because im sure the amg guys will be predjudiced!
im in the market for a 320. i have found a 2001 with 30 k red with 2 tone beige and charcoal interior which i love. i also found a 2003 slk32 with 75k silver and black. both are approx the same price. which would you choose? the rocket 32 but kinda plain colorwise or the 320 with the awesome colors and low mileage? both are cpo at a respective benz dealers. im so confused !! ![]()

Sounds like the 320 whould be the better one to get. The lower miles and the better color combination would make you enjoy it longer. Unless you are looking to get a lot more traffic tickets or go to the track, the 320 will be just fine.

You would never forgive yourself if you passed on an AMG. And I am not an AMG owner. I have a 2002 SLK320 I absolutely love. But 2 years newer AND it is an AMG? Wow, no question in my mind.
My SLK320 had incredibly low miles when I got it (37k) and I love the silver/black color combo. Initially I wasnt so hot on silver but with a fresh coat of wax it is absolutely radiant. You should give it a shot. The SLK320 does have plenty of performance...but another 100+ horsepower? Id be all over that like a bum on a ham sandwich.

The AMG is amazing, although both can reach 155. The AMG will have a slightly higher cost of ownership, and is of course faster. |

for the most part the car will be a weekend toy. i would like the thought of trying some of the events put on by mb clubs in the future. the 32 is what i would like but cost is definately a factor

If it is only a weekend toy then the operating cost is a minor/null factor, the services will be done due to time elapsed rather than milage. Go for the 32.
