mileage question

im on the hunt for my dream 320. question is should i hold out for a 320 with 50,000 miles or less or would a car with 60,000 to 80,000 be a reliable buy? found a black on black with 77,000 . not my fav colors but under 11,000$ opinions?

what year? $11.000 sounds cheap, depending what year it is....make sure the car is in good condition. a 2001 slk 320 Kbb value is above 16k,with 80k miles....

take the car to a mb dealer, and have a full inspection.

My friend has a 1999,SLK 200 (not available in the U.S.) with 180k miles. To this day, he had not one single issue..oil changes once a year, and basic tune ups and new tires and new brakes, thats all...
if you take care of your benz, you keep the german slogan valid, that a benz can last up to one million miles!

ps: I had a 2000 ford mustang, with 177.000 miles...and it still ran great. Its a matter hnever compare a ford with a benz lol sorry...ow to take care of a car.
Now I should

Milage is nothing as long as the car is well cared for. Keep it on 229.5 spec oil (Mobil 1 0w-40 or Valvoline SynPower 5w-40), and keep up with all the other service either at a dealer or extremely qualified MB technician, and you should be okay for a long time.

Transmission every 30k (OEM fluid and filter), and differential too (75w-90 syn diff oil). Otherwise just follow the book.

I was advice here many times "when you buy the SLK,make sure its the one you want, color wise otherwise you'll never fully love the car"

I think that advice was very accurate.
I was about to buy a silver slk 230,even though silver is not my color..and I am glad I did not buy it.
And waited till the one came around I wanted!

Whats the color combo r you are looking for?

i suppose if money wasnt an issue then it would be a 32 with red exterior and red /black or tan/ black interior.
BUT as money is always an issue im not set on any color but im least thrilled with black on black combo
