got my slk amg

Hi all,
yep, just got my black 2003 slk amg. I still can't believe how fast that little car is!! I'm loving it more and more everyday! Anyways, wanted to check with all the amg owners that does your engine have this ticking noise when it's idling? it sounds like a notorious diesel engine when they are idling...
I'm not sure if that's normal or not in these engines.
Thanks!

file doesnt open correctly. i get an error message.

try uploading it to youtube or something.

if it is a constant ticking noise, it might just be the injectors. they are noisy mofos on the car.

if the ticking noise is coming from the pulleys, you could have a bad bearing.

please repost that sound clip somehow.

the "tail of the dragon" is a stretch of highway between knoxville tn and north carolina.hwy 321 south 318 turns in 11 miles!! its a sport bikers dream many many crashes . deal gap at the end a little resting place and fotographers all over the curves taking pics as you pass. its a great place for a slk32 to show ist stuff
