Yes, the R170 SLK32 AMG is available in MY '02, '03, and '04.

As far as I understand, the R171 will be available in '04 as a MY '05, however, the AMG version will not be available until late in '04 or early in '05. All indications are that they AMG car will have the naturally aspirated 5.5L in the current CLK so the AMG car will be an SLK55. The R171 should be presented at the Paris auto show in September/October?

steveL, I just notice your grille is different. Is that after market? or a difference between 02 and 03?

It is after market. I've since changed it again with the grill from the W209 CLK. Also added polished rollbars and some woodtrim pieces from myroadster.net. When I get a chance I'll post an updated pic.

I don't know of any significant differences in any MY SLK32.

Here is a link to a picture of an SLK, not a 32, with the CLK grill.

Yep, 14" up front and 12", 4 piston brembo/renntech. The complete list: renntech springs, wheels, pulley, ecu, camshafts, koni yellow springs, clk grill, myroadster.net v-shaped rollbars, bird's eye maple shift knob, door pulls, wood vent covers, euro style bumper inserts. I think is pretty much it.

Brakes are amazing, the car stops in a big hurry.

The interior is pretty close to stock except for the shift knob. I'm waiting on the door pulls and vent covers to come in. When they do arrive, I'll take a couple of pics and post.

I knew I would forget something, also installed ///AMG illuminated door sills.

More pics are available on slk32.com, about 2/3s of the way down the page there are 13 pictues of my car from about a year ago. http://www.slk32.com/pages/picturega...lkgallery.html

Red SLK32AMG

This is the wife's car to replace the NSX as her daily driver. We had a hard time finding a red one, had to ship one in from Daytona Beach.

Now I get to use the NSX just for the track! See my homepage for movies if you are interested.
