Thanks much. Still get lots of compliments 2 years after buying the car - AMG versions are still pretty rare even in Los Angeles as compared to other Merc models. Moded SLKs are even rarer. Yet to find something more fun to drive even at 2x the price. Plus the huge 360 mm brakes on the 030 package are just incredible. Saved my life when I encountered a lady in an old Volvo driving the wrong way on the freeway - if I didn't have these brakes, I would have hit her head on. Very subtle and tastefully done, enjoy it in good health.

I hear you its crazy how many people everywhere I go look and comment on my car. A jogger the other day went out of his way to scream "I LOVE YOUR CAR!" when I was driving by lol It great to see what youve done with it any other plans in the future?!

No major mods planned. The car is set up so nicely from the factory that it would cost big $$ to improve on it. Maybe the VRP pulleys when they become available. But really the car has plenty of power where I use it; mostly city/highway use (no track). I already have trouble hooking up in 1st and 2nd gear which these harder compound tires, plus another 50+ hp would probably land me in jail. Only a few cosmetic pieces planned; Eurotek diffuser and replacing a broken fog light lense. However, I absolutely love the 19 inch Dymag carbon wheels that are on project Evosport CLK63 Black Series. They would look perfect with the carbon diffuser, however, they must run about $2k to $3k each. Anyone know?

I think they might be even a bit more than that a lot of higher end wheels are around $2000 as is. If you like the carbon look you can do what I did and go with the carbon inlay you can somewhat see it in this pic.

Yeah, probably not worth it. At $10k a set the wheels would cost about 25% of the car's wholesale value. Unless I knew I could/would use the wheels on another car, but even then..... Case closed; I'll stop looking at them.

For BOB44: I am moving to Pleasanton, CA in July and I just got a SLK55. Where did you get your window tinting done? Have you had any issues with getting pulled over? By the way I love the exterior color, I have never seen it before.
