Anyone taken delivery?

I ordered one online the other day and am waiting. the all black looked good to me at the dealer, so i thought I'd downgrade. Wonder how long the wait is? To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

Having driven them in Italy, I wouldn't even think of driving one in the US. I'd be scared to death of getting in an accident. And the one I drove was the "larger" one.

Drove mine for several years to LA in Rush Hour Traffic 60 Miles a day ..It was a blast as most people leave just enough room to fit

To Bad they wont bring the CDI over as it gets 80MPG

look at the EURO MB site for crash tests...They are very safe

We are picking ours up tomorrow at Smart Center Manhattan (MBZ Manhattan). We lucked out and got one that was canceled. Called on Thursday inquiring, got a call Saturday that one was available.

Should be cool. I'll post pics.

The Euro MB site doesn't have information about them getting in an accident with a Ford Excursion or Chevy Suburban. In Europe they're only a "little" smaller than other cars. Here, they fit in a glove box.

I was at my dealer today for service and noticed that they now have a franchise on the Smart. They had about 8 in stock, all types, and several with Sold signs. Cute little things. No diesel for US yet though. Stickers were from 12K to 18K. Think I might have to test drive next time.

Picked up ours 10 days ago. Great little car, drives well, no problems on the highway.

When my son told his buddies that his mom was now driving a rear engined convertible with paddle shifters, they all thought I bought her a Ferrari 430!

I am now looking for some cool Brabus mods, such as suspension, wheels etc.

On March 6, I picked up my new Blue/Silver passion smart CABRIO at the smartcenter-Pittsburgh, then drove it for 3 hours to my home in State College, PA.--No problems whatsoever ! A/C and radio neat-
It is a great car, performs nicely, looks outstanding, and is beyond my expectations in fit, finish, and overall stabilty.

PS: Ben Emerick of snartcenter-Pittsburgh (a Bobby Rahal Mercedes Dealership on Baum Blvd) is a great "smart Brand Consultant" there.

Surprisingly, they even opened a new Smart dealer in Albuquerque (New Mexico) a few weeks ago. There was no publicity or fanfare at all, strictly word of mouth. I went and looked. Cute car, but they already have a one year waiting list. Amazing.

See my write up on a short test drive.
