Recommended Lowering Springs

Not looking for the slammed look, by maybe 1.00 front and 1.25 rear. I hear H&R's are good but others say Vogtland are good as well. Any advise would be appreciated. To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

I have H&R and love them, I originally started with my #3 spring pads, but will swap for #1s in the spring.

The #pads refer to the upper spring pads that sit in the spring perches and are used to make small ride height adjustments without changing spring rates or lengths. The smaller the number, the thinner they are, from 5 to 1. Most US E55s came with #3 pads all around.

Does anyone have pictures of a stock suspension setup with #1 pads all around? How much can you really drop in ride hide from just pads?

Had H&R's and although nice, a bit of a harsh ride if you're not tracking the car. I fell in love with the ride from my Eibach Pro's and Bilstein Sport shocks with #1 pads all around. Trust me, you can't go wrong with this set up!

Same setup I'm going with Jimsta! Eibach FTW.

Anyone know if changing the spring pad to #1 on stock suspension will lower the car any? I need a tiny drop and would be nice if I didn't have to do the springs.. where to get these spring pads anyway?

Lee, your sig says you have KW coilovers. You won't need springs or anything to drop your ride. The KW I'm sure have height adjustment.

The KW V2 is height adjustable, it says. You just need to lift each corner, loosen the locking collar, rotate it, and re-lock.

No no, I was thinking of getting KW's. It's my checklist for current/future mods in my sig, no X in the suspension yet.

I think i'm going with the Eibach + Bilstein sport setup.

Thank you though!

You forum stalking me mofo!!? yeah I did some fitment rearranging, (lost the spacers on the rear) got a bit more room to play with now and can handle a small drop, so im thinking to try the spring pad route or cut the springs.
