X-pipe = 8wheel HP above 5000rpm, better low end part throttle response below 2500rpm. not much change in the mid range.
High flow 2nd cats = 10HP/12TQ @ wheels on dyno
2nd cat delete mod = 12HP/18TQ @ wheels on dyno
X-pipe & 2nd cats combined = at most probably 16-20HP/TQ... not 40HP/TQ for sure.

Can anyone tell me what high flow cats I can get for the primaries?
My check engine light is on, and I've narrowed O2 sensors. So I'd like to start working on the exhaust. Who has these for our car? I need to know where to look

If a 5.4L supercharger V8 isn't big enough (and lord knows it's not), you're looking at the 6.2L V8 from the E63, which will probably fit but require all sorts of electrical work. This really is a poor choice, because you're losing forced induction with this motor and really taking a step sideways, if not backwards. Your next option is to shoe horn the V12 twin turbo.
You probably want to replace the motor with stock, and just add a pulley and ECU if you really need a 7 passenger car that does 0-60 in under 4 seconds.

W211 is the chassis designation for your car (W210 is the old E class 95 - 02)
M113 kompressor is the engine designation for your car (M113 N/A is the V8 same as yours but normally aspirated)
You need to go to the W211 AMG forum not W210 AMG

C55 exhaust system is not exactly identical. However Hooley did do 2nd cat delete and got 13HP/19TQ just from 2nd cat delete. You can't really do the X-pipe on C55 though like you can on the W210 E55 system.
Both motors though absolutely love headers, it really is a must for these NA 55s. The stock M113 manifolds really are pure junk.

Thinking of doing this mod, can someone just confirm the following pieces are what I need?
X pipe: http://cgi.ebay.com/T304-STAINLESS-S...item35a40bbaf5
then two of these 45 degree pipes

Pretty interesting thread, just curious about the e-test question. Would it still pass the e-test with the 2nd cat deleted? If it does, this will be my first project this summer. Thanks.

I have resonator delete and if i was to install those pipes listed above that would that give me the xpipe and second cat delete ? Is there any drawbacks to the car or does it basically just make it sound meaner ?
