20-80mph blast in 4.25 sec... Video

I took my car out for a quick blast from 20-80mph. The video is bouncy but you can see the tack swing hard as I run a blast from 20 (21mph technically) to 80mph. I let off at 80 and the car's momentum got up to 85. As you can see the ESP flashed as the tires were not totally hooking up. I am running PS2s. The run was without methly. I did the run with ESP on the entire way. I was in "S" mode and made sure the car didn't upshift before I put the pedal to the floor at 20mph.

Does anyone know what the 20-80mph times are for the E55 stock? I know they are supposed to do 0-100mph in 9.6 sec. I don't have the original articles from 03-04 that show the 0-20mph break outs to 100mph.

so it was a second gear start or first? have u thought of trying that with esp off, when u see that exclamation mark come on its modulating brakes and i believe it cuts fuel and timing, id be interested in seeing your times with esp off with some sticky tires. I will be getting a camera soon so i can document my drag runs etc.

I found these other times for comparsion ....20-80mph times:

Lotus Exige - 7.3sec (Feb06 - R&T)
Audi R8 - 5.8 sec (April07 R&T)
BMW M6 - 5.3 sec (Feb06 - R&T) -- they got a 12.4@118.1
BMW M5 - 5.5 sec (Feb06 - R&T) -- they got a 12.4@115.8
Bugatti Veyron - 3.1 sec (Feb07 R&T)

what does the stock E55 and E63 run? Probably 5.3-5.6sec?

I had no idea the brakes and timing were adjusted when the ESP came on. I am not sure what gear the car was in...i need to pay better attention next time...and i will try it w/ ESP off or perhaps in dyno mode. I do need BFGs but they don't have them for 19s.

find some cheap 18" rims or some stock rears on ebay etc. Tire rack has 200.00 18" rims for your car. or do bridgestone re01r and yes run in dyno mode to have absolutely zero electronics at play

I wouldn't bother trying it with ESP off, you'll just light up the rears. It's hard to have you foot perform better than the computer. That's why most guys that have the best 60' times have it with ESP on. Your car looks quick dude. We should all hook up for some runs some time. I'm just outside of Rockville.

That's pretty quick. Next time leave the music off.

How about a 60-130mph run. This has become the holy grail for sports cars. If you are under 10 sec. you're movin. My old 1994 Pcar ran a 9.86 on a data logger w/ GPS. Best time I have seen so far was a 4.8 by a 996tt.

I see this S600 doing the 0-60 in far more than the calimed 3.3 sec and 20-80 in about 4.68 sec +/- 0.15. I think I am faster.

S 600 Sedan does 0 to 60 in 3.3, to 100 in 8.5, 1/4 in 11.59 @120
