Anyone elses E63 not drive straight??

My new E63 is having a couple of issues. I'm trying very hard to stay calm lol. Anyways, mine does not drive perfectly straight. On the highway it pulls off the road to the right. I was told by 2 different tire places today that they could not do an alignment because there is nothing to adjust other then the toe on these things. Is that true? Has anyone else had this problem and had it resolved?

no problem here. e63 drives nice and straight...bring it back to the dealer and tell them its pulling to the side and if you just bought it ask them to do the alignment for free..they should...

I believe high performance cars such as the E63 will follow even the slightest cant in the road even if you can't see or feel it. Mine does this on some roads and I thought my alignment may be slightly off. I had to do an alighnment anyway since I put an ELM in, and after the alignment it still did the same thing on those same roads. After 7,000 miles or so, I have not noticed any uneven wear on my tires so I don't sweat it.

2006 E55
Not sure about the E63 but the E55 requires special MB bolts to adjust the alignment. When I first picked up my 2006 E55, it pulled to the right. I brought the car to 2 shops that could not fix it and then found out about the special bolts. MB fixed it perfectly.

ALL MBs pull to the right from the factory. LOL, it is a safety feature. But, that is also why MB will give you a free alignment in the first year (read you service / warranty manual).
It is true that the arms on the E are not adjustable, but the adjustment you need is minimal and can typically be done with the crash bolts.
BTW, I have had the "issue" on all my Es and had it "fixed" before delivery each time.

My car has same issue.
I had alignment done at the dealer. SA said it was normal for car with different size tires(Front tires and rear tires)
My friend has BMW 335l and his car pulls slightly right. His dealer said same thing. So I guess it is normal.

interesting. I just switched my front tires last night and it seems to be straight now. I'm guessing I had a radial pull in one of the tires.

Not even close to true. Tell your SA to just do his job and not worry about diagnosing an issue. Alignment parameters aren't by feel and do not need explanation. He needs to throw the car up on the rack and get you a print out. Based on that info, the PRINT OUT will say the parameters are within specs or not. Case closed. The reason is irrelevent. A brand new car is pulling and it is your choice to make them fix it. Why? Because the lemon law in many states (including California) interprets a car NOT maintaining its lane for more than 3 seconds as a defect. Now, you have to be on a straight road, but there is no such thing because of water drainage.
Your SA is straight full of crap. That is such a libalous statement to make, given all of the staggered setups used today.

Are they the OEMs? If so there have been many cases of that. Some say it is because the tires get cupped as the car sits, or whatever. A few i know of (including me) were able to swap out and pay a slight premium to get Michelin PS2s instead of the Contis.

Mine has a slight pull to the right.

On the highway it is straight on, but on city roads it is more apparent. I think it has to do with the crowning. Some roads seem really crowned here in VA beach b/c we are so close to the water and hurricanes.

I am also in no mood to pay $225 for an alignment at my dealer for them to tell me it is in “spec”. I would then have to do all the research and coarse them to fix it.

Same here. It pulls slighty to the right but I brought it to the dealership today for an alignment. I'll let you know how it goes.

The warranty only covers a single alignment to the original owner / lesee in the first year of life for the car. If all of those don't fit, then only contacts will get you a free alignment at a dealer. BUT, some will throw the car up on the hunter and give you the initial readout for free.

problem is I traded a brand new e350 for my e63 and it did the same thing. Problem is that after the dealer spent 3 hours aligning it, it still pulled to the right after I got it back. Basically I have no faith in my dealer.
