This is the MO of the company. Once you are behind they lure you, bait you into the fantasy of quid pro quo, the reality is they can take the car at any point you are late despite what is 'said" . Always get it in writing.

I think if you borrow the $7k from your bank, you'd probably pay less interest than what you're offering here

honestly, the best advice on this post is to call a lawyer, and send a letter to the repo company immediately, dont wait for anything, if you have a family friend or someone in the family who is in law, have them write a professional letter with their professional letterhead to scare the repo company into taking you seriously. I would not call the repo company or make any threats, I would deal directly with a lawyer. Best of luck, I hope everything works out.

I have an attorney involved, unfortunately not much can be done until we determine if the money and items are actually "gone". Monday we either will be allowed to inspect , redeem, and or file claims depending on response.

Thanks for the advice, I did seek legal council as soon as this happened, my attorney was told the exact same thing I was " Talk to the repossesion agency" Repo agency " call the Riverside Auction people" Riverside Auction people " You need to call Mercedes Benz- Financial".

Man I just read every post and I feel like I'm dreaming right now. Josh how much was your payments a month? And MBFinancal wouldn't mod the lease payments or stretch them longer then 39months in this economy.

No. They did the opposite, they pressed and pressed, maquerading as a company that was concerned. Mercedes Benz Financial employees actually told me during the last call they were not affected by the economy and were not in the business of charity.

I asked about the previous Mercedes Vehicles I had leased and paid off in full, they explained thats why they allowed me to go this long, but needed to pick the car up as it was clear I could not cure the default in full.

Had they just extended the lease to 42 months , this thread would not be here, and my account would have been current the last 11 months. My payments are 1600/month and I can afford to make that payment , I simply cannot pay the past due amounts that resulted from the WGA strike of 2007-2008, in which I lost 5 months of income (170k)

To state something as if you know it as fact , when you do not, is classless, especially here. This is not a flame war, a call out thread, it was a plea, a chance to tell the story and get some advice from people I know and trust , not from random pop ups with absolutely nothing constructive to post.

But I do know it as a fact, My best mate is a Line Producer and he says he's never paid a "Crafty" (His term) that much, and he does big movies. if that were the case you would be making more money than most on a show.

Sorry you fell on hard times it sucks
