So I read all the old posts and contradictory opinions about installing a Quaife lsd.

I'm looking to install an LSD in my 09 CLS63 and wanted to know if any E63 members have installed the Quafie unit.

what you ordered ?

Unfortunately I have not had any personal experience with that model Mercedes and I do not have a confirmed application, although one of these very well may fit.

I thot the E63's came with an LSD already ... the 30% clamp style? Or was that only on the 030's?

Btw my Quaife going in, in the next week or so ... with some other bits , from what I have heard this LSD (ATB) is the best there is.

Only the 030's come with lsd.
CLS is $10,000

E63 is $8600

CL63 is $7000

S63 is $7000

C63 is $4000

Ordered the QDF9V and hopefully get it installed this week by TTMotorsports.

I say hopefully because the guys that know the right one for my car wont say, so Im going with QDF9V and worst case have to rent a car for a few days while they ship me the 7V.

maybe I am retarded, but can someone tell me where (website plz) and if you know, which patrt number to add a Quaife lsd for my E63? In winter, it will be very important for me. other seasons, nice/fun to have, but not 'must have'

also, can someone tell me how this product and install would compare to the kleeman lsd?

That's a small diff for such a big performer. Shocking to see the stock diff internals...no wonder it diffs out like crazy, it's an open diff with NOTHING to prevent total power loss to either rear tire.

What are the maintenance intervals on the Quaife. Fluid change interval, internal gear lifespan, seals, etc? Reliable for E63? I'm familiar w/Quaife as a brand but not in this application. Thx.

is the QDF9V the same ATB that gets installed on the E/CLS 55 k also?
am guessing later models 05+ are 12 bolts yes?
