What's up BB. It has been a long time, hope all is well! I mostly lurk around here now but still check out your threads when I see them. My little brother got lucky and was stationed in CA when he returned from Iraq so I haven't been out to MD in a while. We still have some ties out your way though, and I'm looking forward to getting back out with you guys again soon with some new toys.

Cool!

Can we get details from someone at LET? Is this definitely set for 18-19th? Where? Do we choose a date? I need to make plans now

I agree with blackbenzz, we need some details soon. I also would need to make plans asap.

As for the "tune", will LET install the pulley and software on site? I have read to many bad stories lately about loose pulleys, and would prefer an experienced hand.

I talked to Wayne and he said ideally tuning would take place on the 18th/19th and if necessary it can be switched to wed 23/thurs 24th. He also said that all new customers will have to send a $200 deposit to ChicagoX@gmail.com to secure a tuning date and book a dyno. Lets get it in ASAP!

Hopefully if everything ships on time my car will be going in next week for a H/E, headers,180mm pulley, throttle body and mid pipe. I'm definitely on board for the Dyno day with LET.

I know the owner there used to have an E55, but I thought he got rid of it.

As for this tune day, I'll probably show up just to hang out and get a stock/baseline dyno. I think I'm gonna wait till next Spring to do any tuning to my SL600. You know how things have a tendency to start flaking out when you start tinkering. Plus once you start, there's really no end to it.

What? They want to put a piggy back or standalone on your car? What kind of mods do you have? LET tunes through the factory ECU by just flashing it

Like Ahmad said, AAM doesn't, or at least didn't tune MBs in the past. If they say they can do it now, that's new. And the last thing I'd want is someone new to the MB tuning game, tuning my supercharged V8.

Just wait until the L.E.T. tune day. Wayne is a witch doctor with the E55's and has many satisfied customers.

Its going to be either September 18th/19th or 23rd/24th. We need 4 people to send a deposit of $200 to ChicagoX@gmail.com to secure a date. If I remember correctly cost is $800 + $100/hr tuning time + dyno fees

Our custom tuning fees are $125/hr, but the flash is indeed $799.00.

Please let me know what dates best work for the group.

Do we have enough deposits yet? Is this going to happen for sure now?

damn, only two and half weeks. I was planning to purchase a 172mm pulley in next two weeks and then I will need to install it. So unfortunately I won't able to make it for a custom tune.

How many of you sent deposit already then? This is deja vu, 2 months ago we talked about brining LET but nothing happened. I talked to Jerry@LETMotorsports in July and he sounded that he will be ready to fly-in if we get enough interest.
