My reservoir tanks is almost done. Should have it in hand getting installed next week. Ordered it from Donny and the other parts just like Thericker posted. Thanks for taking the time to post this and answer all my questions. You're a class act. To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

Glad to help a fellow enthusiast

PS.. I never heard back from my tech on splitter to use (though your indy shop should know at a glance what to use once in their hands)

you'll love the tank man. my tank from Donny gets compliments on the build quality from everyone who has seen it. it also made my car run very consistent.

And she's done and ready to ship! Mine is 13.5x13.5x10, but mine is going in an SL65.

I ran into a gentleman at the track last night with a silver E55 with an LET stage 1 who wanted of these as well so I pointed him to this thread. Hopefully he finds it. He was going to buy the LET tank for $600+. Donny makes their tanks for them for 1/3 the price.

well it has a dry ice compartment as well that takes up volume. taking that into consideration this fits about 8 gallons

Has anyone else had any problems getting their tank from Donny? My tank has been done for a week but has not been shipped. He told me last Sat I'd have shipping invoice and tracking #, but never received it. Tuesday I pinged him and he said he would have it when his wife got home, nothing. Now I'm not able to get a hold of him.

I had no issues with him. He was really fast !! I paid for tank it took 4 days, he sent me invoice for exact shipping, I paid that same day, tank was shipped the next morning. I had it in my hands 3 days later. Zero complaints.

He's a funny guy though - he asked me not to advertise him as he can't keep up with the orders.

Well maybe that's why. I know when I called him he said a few days to do, but it took a week and a half to finish. Seems odd it's been done a week and he still hasn't shipped it though.

I finally got my tank in place and thought I would post some results. I data logged the car for an hour on the way to the shop and drove the same route back when I picked it up to compare. I did my best to drive in the same manner and not do anything different on each trip, going fast in the same places and slowing down in the same places.

Before when I drove it down for the install it was the morning of 10/14 and it was 68 degrees. Minimim IAT was 127. Average IAT over a certain long span on the freeway was 136.7 degrees.

After the install on the way back it was the afternoon of 10/17 and 72 degrees out. Minimum IAT was 106 degrees. Average IAT over the same span as above was 115.3 degrees.

So it looks like from this data that my tank dropped my minumum IAT 21 degrees + 4 degrees of extra ambient for a 25 degrees drop. My average IAT is the same at 21.4 degrees + 4 extra ambient for 25.4 degrees.

Pretty good!

without ice they never went above 122

i am very happy with the results of this project.
