Change out the mats, too. Many dealers replace worn AMG mats with the cheap MB mats.

Just a heads up since this was the case with my CPO E55 and I didn't notice until a few weeks later.

AMG mats FTW.

Congrats!

Huh! They must have changed out the AMG mats for a set of worn out MB mats...... They are fugly and already on the list to replace along with the rotors and pads that are shot....

I gave the GM at Mercedes of Bedford, do you suppose I'll ever hear from him and they'll do the right thing? Me either......

YOUR ONE LUCKY OWNER. CONGRATS..

Is this your car WDBUH76J55A771623. If so your the one who out bid me

Did the dealer CPO the car for you? Do you mind if I ask what you end up paying for it?
I was in a disadvantage because I'm in IL to view the car in person. So I was taking my time to decide. If you ever decide to sell it let me know.

If it was the car at MB of Bedford I'm sure this is the one, there aren't many this color. I didn't realize I was bidding against anyone. I made them an offer we went back and forth a couple times and agreed on a fair price. Did you low ball them? I'm not opposed to paying decent money for a nice car so I didn't even try to low ball them. I knew there were a couple others on it too...... You weren't really at a disadvantage, I'm in NC and bought it sight unseen (risky I know but I was confident this was a very nice example and I was right - it's beautiful!). I guess you snooze you lose on this one..... They didn't CPO it b/c the cost of doing a CPO was too close to what I paid for the Chrysler 5 year 70k warranty and it would have only been 1 or 2 years so I wasn't interested.

Going out to mount the new wheels/tires..... Pics later.

I dont think I low balled Jim Turcoliveri (salesman) with offer of 37K with CPO. I agree the MB extexded warranty to additional 24/100,000 for $3995.00 is to much. Did you pickup the car and drive home?

Doesn't say much about MB's confidence in their own cars does it! I agree, you didn't low ball him on your offer. All in, I'm a little bit more than your offer including tax and the warranty. I did pick it up and drive it home. The mountains of WV were a BLAST!!!!! What a great car!

Here's a few pictures following the wheel install.

Daddy, where we goin? To get ice crean and then get tutored? Oh, that's right, I'm a girl I can't get tutored!!!

Very nice. The color and wheels are classy and everything is in great proportion. Well done! What are the tires sizes and wheel brand and offsets?

It's been awhile

Since the last post on this thread, but your car looks awesome. I actually almost bought this car, but when I called I think you had just made a deal to put it through pre-purchase inspection. Oh well, good news is I just found a wagon at my local dealership today and made a deal. Gotta wait now until all the CPO work is completed, but can't wait to take delivery!

Jacksdad and chuck z,

Nice to meet you guys here. I just picked up a black/black 20k mile 2006 Wagon myself last week, and have been enjoying the heck out of it for the past week. Drove it out to the TX hill country this past weekend, and it was every bit as entertaining and comfortable on the open road as my old CL65, and the dynamic seats are better. Only above 80-90 mph is there a noticeable lack of acceleration compared to the CL, and I plan to remedy that situation soon!

With member Estate55, that makes 4 of us......how many other E55 wagon owners are on the board?

Beautiful car, congratulations. I had the same leather color combination in my 04 CLK55, and really liked it.

Likewise. I just drove ours tonight and what a great car! Need to get the windows tinted though, it's like driving a fish bowl...

Congrats! What black did you get? Jet Black, Obsidian? Post some pics when you get a chance.

There is an 07 e63 with P2 package for sale at the Mercedes dealer in NY and they are asking 62K with 100K warranty. I think $55K will take it home.
