There is an 07 e63 with P2 package for sale at the Mercedes dealer in NY and they are asking 62K with 100K warranty. I think $55K will take it home.
Thanks! It is straight black, not obsidian unfortunately. Pics coming soon.

So you are a fan of Obsidian because it is 'easier' to maintain than 040/Jet Black or just wanted something different? Looking forward to the pics

Yeah, all of the above...but it was rare enough finding a clean, 20k mile wagon in the first place...I wasn't going to argue about color! 040 is fine with me!

Will shoot the two 040 AMG's together and post soon...

Yeah, that's a sweet car! It reminds me of my dad's old 300sd turbo diesel in diamond blue with a blue interior. We're talking WAY back like 1984 or something.

I read some of the articles from the major magazines when this thing came out and I thought I read that only like 200 per year were allotted to the U.S.. Has anyone else heard something similar? When I was shopping for my E55 sedan, my wife developed a liking for the wagon and asked me to look for one. So I did and there was a total of ONE for sale in all of the U.S. (on Cars.com anyway).

Sorry guys - but I shouldn't be on the list - only have a "regular" E55.
Was originally going to get one but no rug rats yet. Wifey is already insisting that when they do come an estate is mandatory (last weekend I was out of town and she used the car for a road trip to visit family in Mexico - I received a text the first night telling me about triple digit speeds, BMW and "orange mustang" kills and her personal favorite - the looks on their faces when they found out a "chick" was driving and just did that to them).

Oh, that was the first time ever in her life that she went triple digits - now she's hooked.

I was just trying to find out where Chuck Z got his wheels

Having 0 rug rats is NOT a reason not to have a E55 Estate..... 0 here..

I bought the wheels from this eBay seller. Great experience and would definitely buy from him again.

Thanks. They don't show up for sale very often and don't seem to last very long when they do. There are a couple posts in this thread about guys going after my car. Seems timing is everything when it comes to finding a good used one.

Here are the production numbers for the 211 AMG Estate:

E 55 AMG Wagon

2005 129
2006 64

E 63 AMG Wagon

2007 67
2008 62

Here are the production numbers for the 211 AMG Estate:

E 55 AMG Wagon

2005 129
2006 64

E 63 AMG Wagon

2007 67
2008 62
These numbers refer to the quantity imported into the USA or total global production run? I would assume total production run. In either scenario they are very rare cars!

Those are US numbers as they are too low for global production. Those numbers have been posted in previous threads as well. And this is probably the longest running Estate thread ever.

ChuckZ - thanks for the info - quick question - the wheels that they have on ebay all have 2 in lips in the rear but in your pics it looks like a very modest lip (which is what I'm looking for). Did you special request that or was that just how they came?

Thanks for all the help.

I take delivery tomorrow....

Can't wait. Here's a crappy pic from the old iphone. Quick question for you CPO owners. Are CPO cars supposed to have updated nav discs and new floor mats? My cars mats look pretty good as is, and the nav disc is from last year.

I have to say I really am thrilled about this car. I had an E60 M5 which I sold because our expanded family called for more room. This car was the perfect solution and nearly impossible to find. I searched for 6 months and finally landed this car. In fact I knew this specific car because I would see a mom shuttling her kids by my house in it every morning. Only AMG wagon I had ever seen, and only car I have ever purchased without ever driving it.
I'm glad to be a part of this very small group of enthusiasts.

thanks Chuck Z for adjusting the photo

Car is white with black leather and dark wood. All options minus distronic and rear seats. Looks like most people got the rear seats. In place of them I have a cool little storage area under a spring loaded floorboard.

Year is 2005 and had 45k on it. I think all things considered I got a pretty good deal, since they CPO'd it, put new tires, brakes, rotors, and a few other things, plus $1600 in body work which included repainting the rocker panels, rear bumper cover, and front spoiler. They put about $6k of work into the car to make it a flawless example, so I think I got a fair deal.

I'll post some pics as soon as she arrives home.
