MIR Track Rental Oct. 30th

I am getting the track rented on Oct. 30th and I thought I'd invite the local guys out to come have some fun. The track is MIR (1/4 mile) and their site is www.mirdrag.com We will have one lane and it will cost $100/car. If we get more than 24 cars then we can have both lanes. Gates open at 9 and racing usually starts around 10am. We get the track to ourselves so theres no waiting to run. You can get ALOT of passes. Track closes at 5pm. So who is in?

Tempting. It'd be nice if some of the west coast guys can roll out there so we can evenly compare our cars to the guys on the east.

I'll take a look at my schedule and if I can...I'll roll. I've always wondered how my car would do on the east coast...

Hey Sun, this will be a smaller rental. The big one will be on Dec. 5th. A few of the west coast guys (and girl) were talkin about coming out for that one

Big negaive DA's then. Just hope its not too cold and weather cooperates

Do you still have your stock wheels? Try bolting them back on and see if your vibration goes away. If it does then you know its your new wheels. If it doesn't there is an issue with the car

I know that Ahmad, just don't have much time lately to do that.

Hey Ahmad, is there a chance you guys could run the old tune with the new hardware in Shawn's car? That old tune seemed to be running very strong and I would think that would be your best chance but I'm sure you know what's best for the beast. Is there a chance something else could be wrong besides the tune or is it tune related for sure? What ever the problem is get it fixed and out to the track, we need a E55 to go 10's soon. I'm still waiting for a sub 70 day to get back to the track. Good luck and I'm sure you'll have the problems resolved soon.

Thats what we are trying to do. Get the old tune back and the money for the tune back. Then we will see where to go from there

I will be driving it at the rental if its running right

Anyone interested in 17'' Amg rims (I think of c32) with brand new nitto NT01 drag 245/45/17 radials on...I hope this is not out of line as I know I can post this in classifieds, but I am in Rockville and hope to make the Track day as well, but need to these rims and tires off my hands...If your interested I can email you pics, The tires have less than 100mi. and literally seen one run down the track(and I was sent home because I forgot my stupid helmet)

Is a helmet a must have for track rentals? I never wore one when I was running my E500 at the rentals, but it wasn't really necessary for that car with mid 13 second runs. Although, track rules state all sub 14 second cars need a helmet, they never said anything to me.

in my case, my first run that day, landed a 12.95 1/4mi. in which they told me I could not get back on the track unless I wore a helmet
