Maybe the guy who started it deleted it, since he was getting loads of **** for posting it in the first place, and having a moron for a friend?

What you missed was members learning about the member "mdweiss" scamming a fellow member on a sale of a cracked e55 bumper, check it out here:

FS: Complete E55 front bumper

mdweiss had the nerve to defend his actions and we were getting on him pretty good before the thread was removed.

Hopefully enough members saw it to prevent anyone else getting scammed by mdweiss.

I also registered in 2003? Not quite sure how that might work, I think he regged in '09?

Nice try though.
LMAO at you having no affiliation to mdweiss. If that were really the case, you have zero incentive to post in his defense (let alone to go through the trouble you did in your defense). My incentive is to protect other honest members of this board, care to share yours?

And don't tell me to go back and look at the details of the deal. I've done that and seen all I need to see. Asking for a $150 refund is more than fair compensation for receiving a CRACKED bumper. While it may be true that it could be fixed for less, is the buyer not entitled to compensation for the fact that he has a bondo-ed bumper??? I would never willingly put a bondo repaired bumper on my car, but if I was scammed and stuck with one it better have been CHEAP!!!

I'll add your name to the list of people no one on this forum should ever buy from:

1. mdweiss
2. MBaran

I never followed the tread after i posted, I limit my mdworld drama to just a few days a week lol, I really though 150.00 was fair.I actually paid little bit more than that for the repair. They put down about 8 inch's of epoxy then some screen type material then more epoxy and sanded it smooth. Could a guy fix it him self for less? sure but I was paying a professional shop to do the repairs. In the end the bumper turned out great!

Bumpers, or any panel that is made to flex is a pain to fix correctly. Can't use bondo as it will crack when the bumper flexes. $150 sounds reasonable to me.

And? Because he has money does that mean he should piss it away?

I have $100 should I give you $50? So we both have $50?

You've never seen anyone get "ripped off". Ripped off is not receiving a set of wheels or an engine. You're *****ing about bull****..

GTFO your high horse.

All the threads in this W211 area are retarded.
What's more retarded is when people sign up on a forum 6 years ago and only have 1 post. I don't know, maybe there was a sign-up-get-a-free-life deal back then. Please crawl back into the woodwork.

fwiw, the guy's a newbie on Pelican, too. (I'm an owner of a 993.) And you're right, the serious P-car owners who I know wouldn't represent that way.

Insulting other members with your first three posts on MBWorld (despite the date of registration) doesn't make sense unless there's some underlining agenda going on.

Why would somebody make their first post in defense of somebody they supposedly don't know and even go to the effort of looking the person up on eBay etc.?
