I don't understand how they can change a date so far out, you can't predict the weather over a week in advance...

Good point. I watch the weather very closely and notice rain patterns will often shift 3 or 4 days before the actual date. You really can't pay too much attention to predictions of rain beyond 5 days in my opinion.

They actually work closely with a local weather station, so I'm sure they get a more up-to-date version than what we see on some of the famous online websites.

Guys, the list has filled up drastically in the past couple of days. If you are still undecided, try to come to a decision quick. I think we may only have 6 spots left. After the limit is reached, the list will close and there will be no more participants added unless someone cancels. I will merge all the lists from all the different sites together and will also combine them with the list of offline participants as well and will post an update later this week.

On a side note, traction may be extra-enhanced this time around due to a couple of "drag" cars attending as special guests

Yeah, it sucks! This was the only weekend in January I couldn't make it .

We'll definitely get a run in at Sacramento before it warms up. I was glancing through February of 09 and there were some very cool days with low humidity . We'll still get our chance to run in -1000....I hope .

Got a call earlier today from track owner and was informed that we are still a 100% go for the 16th. Weather is looking good and we may have a great day of racing to end the season and make no mistake, we will end it with a bang Our next major track rental won't be until November 2010 (11 months away ).
