MICHELIN PILOT AS TIRE QUESTION

I bought 4 Michelin Pilot AS tires a couple of years ago from Sears. Somehow got 2 nails in one tire & were told by Discount Tire it can not be patched.

My husband stopped there as he couldn't remember where I bought tires as I was driving the car at the time & these were the tires everyone was recommending at the time.

I have Road Hazard warranty on these & called Sears but was told these tires are or have been phased out & are replaced by AS Plus tires.

Will we have to get 2 new tires or 4 new tires as a result.

And guy in Tire Department who actually sold me the tires says he would have to call Michelin.

This is for a 2004 Mercedes E320 wagon.

Help!

Thanks.

You can have different tires in front than rear, but do not have different on same axle.

Drives: depends on the weather
you can put the 'plus' version on one end of the car and leave the non 'plus' on the other end but, yes you will need 2 tires not just 1
