Bring the Power

Given the reputation for performance perpetuated by Mercedes-AMG's Black Series road cars, it's obvious that the automaker couldn't sell a boat with anything less. Thus, when AMG decided to design its 13th collaboration with Cigarette Racing to honor the AMG GT Black Series, it knew that it had to bring the heat. And it has certainly done that, thanks to a total of five supercharged V8 powerplants.

Built for Performance

Officially dubbed the Cigarette 41' Nighthawk AMG Black Series, this special boat draws inspiration from the road-going version that reset a Nurburgring record last year. Thus, the two companies gave it five racing-grade 4.6-liter V8 Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines, which produce 450 horsepower each - or a total of 2,250 horsepower.

Impressive Stats

That's enough juice to help this sleek boat slide through the water on its way to a top speed of 90+ miles-per-hour, an impressive feat for a boat in the large center console segment that can carry up to 10 people in total luxury. Much of that can be attributed to the vessel's unique twin-step hull design, light weight, and low center of gravity.

Real Looker

A series of composite materials - including a carbon-fiber deck and an all-carbon-fiber hardtop - help the Black Series boat shed weight, while proprietary construction techniques improve structural integrity. It's also a looker, thanks to the combined efforts of the Cigarette Racing Team, the Mercedes-AMG design team, and Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer Mercedes-Benz AG.

Cool Scheme

The Magmabeam orange and black exterior is inspired by its road-going brethren, while that same color scheme carries over to the inside. The vessel also features the unique Cigarette Cool upholstery, which dissipates heat so that dark colors can remain comfortable, even when exposed to consistent sun and heat. Meanwhile, the captain controls the ship via three Garmin 8617 multi-functional displays flush-mounted to an instrument panel CNC-cut from a solid block of aluminum.

Fast and Relaxing

The forward helm seating consists of two rows (three seats per row), with the front row featuring height adjustability. This helm seating layout is advantageous for sporty driving because you can have six people comfortably seated, forward-facing, behind the central helm. There is an L-shaped lounge at the rear of the boat and U-shaped seating at the bow. This layout creates a boat that is not only remarkably sporty and agile but still offers the sort of entertainment and luxury that enhances its ability to cruise in comfort and relax with friends.

One-Off

The only downside to this gorgeous boat is that only one has been built, and it's already sold. As such, Mercedes-AMG isn't talking price, which we imagine is rather lofty. But when you can slice through the water in such a fine-looking vessel, we doubt money really matters in this case.
