Hitch Your Expectations to the 2020 E 450 Wagon
There are many reasons to like a wagon-styled car. For one, it offers more space than a sedan. They also typically feature a better fuel economy than an SUV. While many car makers have shied away from making wagon vehicles, Mercedes has continued to press on, and done a great job in refining the model. This is best evidenced with its most recent wagon launch, the E 450.
There’s a lot of power to this wagon
Get this – the E 450 wagon is outfitted with a 3.0L bi-turbo V6 engine that capably produces over 360 horsepower and a whopping 369lb-ft of torque. The tremendous power that this wagon’s engine is able to exert does not feel out of place as all of it is sent directly to the wheels via the car’s 9-speed transmission. This, in turn, makes for a super fun driving experience in a wagon of all things.

Souped-up acceleration
As mentioned in the earlier slide, the E 450 generates 369lb-ft of torque. All of this comes from just 1800rpm. For those unfamiliar, this translates to near-immediate acceleration off the line. And if you keep your foot pedal pressed to the ground you’ll time yourself going from 0 to 60mph in just 5 seconds. Again, this is in a wagon!

The type of interior you’d expect from a world-class luxury car maker
Sure, the power and acceleration of the E 450 are impressive, but if you are buying a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, it’s safe to say that you expect to enjoy some of the finer features that the German carmaker is known for having in its vehicles. The E 450 is of course, very well appointed, with a giant control display front and center, leather all throughout, dual-zone climate control, heated seats, 64-color LED ambient lighting (with illuminated vents, naturally), and more, much, much more.

If you’re in the market for a wagon, the E450 is the way to go … and it’ll cost you
In case you haven’t picked up on it yet, the E 450 is part of Mercedes’ “E-class” of vehicles. And if you’re unfamiliar with the company’s naming structure, this particular class is considered to be “upscale”. The base model will put you back $65,000 and if you’re looking for any sort of added package, an additional feature, etc., you’ll easily surpass the $70k benchmark.
