Manhart's Tribute to the V8 Legacy

Manhart, renowned for its formidable modifications of German cars, presents a distinctive approach with its latest creation, the CRE 700, tailored for the Mercedes-AMG C63. Departing from its traditional V8 powerhouse, Manhart's aim with the CRE 700 is to honor the V8 legacy that Mercedes has retired from the C63 lineup.

Power Boost and Enhanced Sound

By leveraging the plug-in hybrid AMG C63 S E Performance as a foundation, Manhart integrates its MHtronik control unit to amplify the potency of the turbocharged 2.0-liter M139 engine. Collaborating with the electric motor, this augmentation elevates the power output to an impressive 715 horsepower and 826 lb-ft of torque, delivering a substantial boost over the stock model.

Reimagining Driving Dynamics

In response to the increased power, Manhart meticulously tunes the suspension of the CRE 700 to accommodate the heightened performance, complemented by H&R springs that lower the vehicle's stance by 0.8 inches. While the braking system remains unaltered, personalized enhancements are available upon request, catering to individual preferences.

Subtle Aesthetic Enhancements

Maintaining its signature subtlety, Manhart implements modest visual upgrades to the CRE 700. These include discrete accents such as blacked-out Mercedes logos, door handles, and striking red details on matte black AMG wheels. Interestingly, the interior remains untouched, with red highlights reminiscent of the limited C63 S E Performance F1 Edition.

Amplified Acoustics and Market Availability

In addressing the subdued exhaust note inherent in the four-cylinder setup, Manhart integrates a bespoke exhaust system featuring sport downpipes and 300-cell catalytic converters. This enhancement not only augments the sound but also enhances the driving experience. However, these components are presently intended for export due to TUV approval constraints, although Manhart is open to accommodating TUV-approved alternatives upon request.

Continued Innovation

As Manhart's initial foray into reinvigorating the Mercedes-AMG C63, the CRE 700 sets the stage for potential future developments. Depending on customer demand, the Wuppertal-based tuner remains open to further refining the PHEV model and expanding its range of tuning options, ensuring a dynamic evolution in automotive customization.
