Night Series

Mercedes-Benz has introduced the Night Series options program for its luxurious Maybach sub-brand, offering enhanced personalization for buyers of the Maybach models. Unlike Rolls-Royce's Black Badge treatment, the Night Series package focuses solely on cosmetic upgrades, while maintaining the mechanical features of the standard Maybach models.

Visual Enhancements

The package includes exclusive enhancements like dark chrome and rose gold accents, glossy dark wheels, intricate interior surfaces, and herringbone wood patterns. Each model has its own unique treatments, such as the Onyx Black/Mojave Silver two-tone finish for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, and various black, grey, and white options.

Unique Style

The exterior of the vehicles is distinguished by bespoke wheel designs, dark metallic chrome elements, and rose gold accents in the headlights. Inside the cabin, customers can enjoy a choice between two exclusive Nappa leather upholstery options, herringbone accents, multiple Maybach logos, a piano black trim with the brand's insignia, and a distinctive start-up animation for the MBUX infotainment system.

Maybach Models

The Night Series package extends to the Maybach GLS and EQS models, offering similar treatments for both the interior and exterior. The GLS features white or Obsidian Black finishes, while the EQS offers Obsidian Black or Diamond White options. The cabins of the Maybach SUVs provide Black Pearl Exclusive or Crystal White/Black Pearl Nappa leather options, complemented by wood trim with aluminum accents. In addition, the EQS model includes an eco-friendly Econyl carpet and vegetable-tanned upholstery.

Rebellious Design

According to Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer of Mercedes-Benz, the Night Series represents a fresh and rebellious design approach, deviating from the traditional Mercedes-Maybach image while incorporating elevated and darkened elements.

For The Love of Opulence

Although pricing details have not been disclosed, the Maybach models equipped with the Night Series package are expected to be priced at least $25,000 higher than the standard models. In comparison, Rolls-Royce Black Badge models typically carry a premium of around $45,000. The Black Badge program has been highly successful for Rolls-Royce, accounting for up to 50% of sales in certain markets. It remains to be seen if Mercedes can achieve a similar level of success with the Night Series package.
