Not Enough Personality?

Serving as the flagship of luxury for Mercedes-Benz, the S-Class has always been among the most popular high-end vehicles in all seven generations of its existence. Many would argue that the powerful presence of the limo in its factory setup is too beautiful and well-thought-out to mess with. There are those, though, who require just a touch more personality from their lux ride than what Mercedes and its sub-brand Maybach have to offer.

2 Decades of Experience

Respected custom builder Platinum Motorsport Group is ready to fill the need for a murdered-out, slammed S 580. The Los Angeles-based shop is no stranger to fiddling with expensive cars, as their celebrity clients could attest to. Turning an ordinary S 580 into a statement was right up their alley.

Murdered Out

As featured in the builder's recent Youtube video, this W223 model has been on the receiving end of a number of visual modifications. Complementing the satin black exterior, the folks at Platinum Group have refinished the car's brightwork and chrome trim in glass black.

Ultra Aggressive

The ominous aesthetic is further enhanced by the incorporation of an exposed carbon fiber aero kit from a supplier in Europe. The sporty ground effects work together with the car's lowered ride height to create an ultra-aggressive stance.

Worth It?

Platinum Group rounds off the aesthetic mods on the 'Filthy' Mercedes S 580 with a set of staggered AL13 22-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin rubber. For those interested in this beastly creation, the LA tuner is ready to deliver. We can't help but wonder when looking at lowered builds like this, is it worth sacrificing the manufacturer's intended level of ride comfort?
